The Directorate of Consular and Maritime Affairs has authorized all Class Societies and Authorized Organizations to evaluate and review the Shipboard Oil Pollution Emergency Plans on behalf of this Administration.
Resolution MEPC.54(32) of 6 March 1992 adopted the Guideline for the development of Shipboard Oil Pollution Emergency Plans, this Administration urges shipowners/operators of Panamanian flag vessels to ensure that this plans are developed in accordance with these Guidelines.
