To: Shipowners/Operators and Master of Passenger Vessels

Subject: Acceptance of home Country Lifeboatmen or Survivalcraftsmen Certificates

 

 

  1. Lifeboatmen or Survivalcraftsmen Certificates of crewmembers on board Panamanian registered passenger vessels, issued by their home countries, will be accepted by this Administration until such time as the crewmembers are duly examined by an officially designated examiner so authorized by Panama.
  2. Crewmembers in possession of Lifeboatmen or Survivalcraftsmen Certificates issued by countries whose licenses have been validated by Panama, as listed in Merchant Marine Circular No. 55, need not be examined after confirmation of such validation.
