To: Owners/Operators of MODUs, Class Societies and other Recognized

Organizations

Subject: License Applications

A Panamanian License is to be issued to the following personnel on board Panamanian registered MODU's:

  1. Offshore Installation Manager
  2. Barge Supervisor
  3. Ballast Control Operator

The following procedure will be followed when applying for this categories:

A. An examination will be required for all applications unless examinations has already been taken under the auspices of another Administration. The Owners/Operators of the unit will send the Directorate of Consular and Maritime Affairs - New York Representative Office a request for the examination for each individual so affected. It is understood that this examination may be taken under the purview of a U.S. Coast Guard Examination Center. In such a case, the U.S. Coast Guard will then issue to thee applicant a letter attesting to the results.

B. When the examination results have been received with a passing status, the Directorate will issue the appropriate transitional Certificate. The application should include the following documentation:

Copy of the passport identification or personal identity card.

Document attesting to the examination results.

Medical Certificate valid within the last two years.

Four photographs approximately 4 cm by 3-1/2 cm.

The license's fee: USD $80.00.
