The Directorate General of Consular and Maritime Affairs issued Resolution No.614-372-ALCN of 20 December 1984 which requires all Class Societies and other Authorized Organizations to remit to the Republic of Panama a flat fee for the issuance of a Cargo Ship Safety Certificate for vessels under 500 GRT and Cargo Ship radiotelephony Certificate to Cargo vessels under 300 GRT.
The following are the fees to be paid to the Directorate General of Consular and Maritime Affairs:
For the issuance of a Cargo Ship Safety Certificate for cargo vessels under 500 GRT:

Payments shall be made by means of a Certified check or an International Money Order to the order of the Directorate General of Consular and Maritime Affairs, Republic of Panama. Such payments may be remitted either to the New York Office or to the Head Office in Panama.
