  1. Reference is made to Circular No. 01-84 of February 8, 1984 which establishes the list of companies authorized to handle the radio accounts of Panamanian registered vessels. For your information here is a list of such organizations:

  1. Circular 01-84 also states that every Panamanian flag vessel should have one of the above mentioned companies designated as the one in charge of its radio accounts.
  2. The Directorate General of Consular and Maritime Affairs, issued Circular No. 03-84 of 5 June 1984 where certain types of vessels are exempted from complying with the stipulations in Circular 01-84.
  3. In accordance with Circular 03-84 Panamanian flag vessels such as barges, offshore drilling units, pleasure craft, ferries, vessels without propulsion, and supply vessels to the Offshore Industry use or continue to use their companies as the ones in charge of their Radio Accounts. To this end the interested parties will have to request through their legal representatives a waiver and providing the following information in the request:

  1. Trading area
  2. Radio frequency used
  3. Name and address of Company that will handle all their communications.
